Visitors

A warm welcome to all visitors...

Who are we?
We’re people of all ages from different backgrounds.  Whoever you are and wherever you are spiritually, we assure you of a very warm welcome.

When you arrive:
There’s plenty of free Sunday parking on surrounding streets.  For directions, a map and a picture of the building, please see the
Find us page.  We’ll greet you at the door, give you a copy of Vine Weekly (our church news-sheet) and encourage you to feel at home.

What to wear:
Whatever feels comfortable.  We don’t stand on ceremony, so there’s no need to dress up or conform to someone else’s standards.  Whether you come in a suit, or shorts and a T-shirt, you’ll fit right in.

What to expect:
We’re a bit like a family, and you’ll find everyone is chatting away before the service begins, so if there’s something you’d like to know please just ask.  We start our meeting at 10:30 am with a song.   One of our leaders will introduce the service, and we’ll spend ten or fifteen minutes worshipping God with more songs - mainly modern ones with keyboard, guitar, bass, and drums.   After this the leader will share family news and diary dates, and the children and young people go to their Sunday Club classes.

Most Sundays (except for the first Sunday of the month) we’ll celebrate Communion.  The leader will explain how this works – if you’re not a believer, don’t feel embarrassed to just let the bread and wine go by without taking it.

We’ll then have a relevant and often challenging talk from the Bible, aiming to apply it to our modern lives.  Afterwards we’ll offer the opportunity to anyone who would like to have someone pray with them, either about an issue raised by the talk, or about anything else going on in their lives.  We’ll finish around midday with tea and coffee and more time to chat.   Our aim, whether you are a mature Christian or ‘just looking’, is that you should be motivated and equipped to know God better.

Children and babies:

We encourage children aged 3-13 to join a Sunday club class, and there is a crèche for younger ones.  But if they’re with you and fidgeting, you can take them to our ‘Bawl Room’, where you can see and hear what’s going on without being seen or heard.

Money:

You won’t need any.  We don’t take a collection during our meetings.  If and when you become a regular part of our church family there will be opportunities to contribute to the needs of the church and others whom we support financially.
